OUR VALUES

Our compass for every transition

We show up as co-strategists, align every step to what matters, and master the details because the right transition protects both value and people.

Empowering Businesses Empowers People

We believe strong businesses are built and passed on through strong relationships. We’re not just advisors; we’re co-strategists. Our clients count on us for perspective, challenge, and support; by doing this, we empower them for greatness.

Momentum OVER MOTION

We prioritize purposeful progress, ensuring each step is aligned with the business’s goals, limiting wasted energy, and misaligned strategies. Momentum done right is consistent effort over a period of time that brings real results.

Rigor in the Details

We bring analytical precision to each phase of a transaction because details aren’t just important, they’re everything.

Meet The TEAM BEHIND SUCCESSION

Our team brings together decades of experience in business consulting, finance, marketing, and operations, with one shared focus: helping small to medium-sized business owners prepare for what’s next.

FAQ

Our belief is every business can be sold! However, not all businesses are currently ready. Let us help you get there! We specialize in helping small to medium-sized businesses across a variety of industries, from service-based operations to local retail, trades, and professional services.

The sooner the better. Ideally, we begin planning 1–3 years in advance, but we can also assist with immediate transitions.

Yes. We offer guidance on valuation strategy and can coordinate with third-party professionals to ensure you have an accurate picture of your business’s worth.

Absolutely. We maintain a network of qualified buyers across various industries. We will also market your business discreetly via our website, newsletters, social media, and other outlets to ensure we find your business the right buyer.

Yes, we maintain confidentiality by requiring buyers to sign NDAs before receiving any detailed business information.

Our fees are tailored to your company’s needs and timeline. Most engagements follow two phases:

  1. Preparation & Readiness
If substantial work is needed to get sale-ready and the likely timeline is 12+ months, we charge a monthly consulting fee to prepare the business (financial cleanup, documentation, positioning, and strategy).

  2. Go-to-Market & Sale
Once the business is ready to list, we charge a success-based percentage of the final sale price, payable at closing.

If your company is already market-ready, we can move directly to the success-based structure. You’ll receive a written scope and fee schedule before we begin, so everything is clear.

That’s exactly what we’re here for: helping our clients develop a succession plan for their business. Many of our clients begin by exploring what succession could look like — without committing to any immediate decisions.

Yes. We offer deal screening, preliminary analysis, and strategic input to help you assess risk, fit, and long-term potential before you invest significant time or capital.

We work with both. If we’re representing the seller, we’ll be transparent about it and can still provide helpful resources to buyers navigating the process.

Absolutely. Post-acquisition success is just as important as the deal itself. We offer consulting support on integration, team communication, customer retention, and owner transition strategies.

We aren’t just connectors, we are business professionals. A lot of business brokers are similar to or literally real estate agents. They are focused on selling businesses and getting their commissions. At Succession Business Consulting, we are business professionals and business operators. We want to help businesses grow and thrive through the sales process and beyond. Our goal is to help build value for years to come and be there as an advisor.
